This installment of Drum And Bass Proper 's Midweek Masters Series we have some darkside business from the one like Mike Shoebox. Mike Shoebox found a deep passion for electronic music and software design in the demo-scene of the mid-90s. This long-lived passion for music and coding eventually led to some projects that brought together an online community of drum and bass enthusiasts. DNBRadio is one of those projects that he started from his studio apartment in a small town in rural Texas. The idea was to bring together a community of underrated producers, DJs, and artists who needed a place to share their music with the world. Eventually, Mike moved to Denver and got involved with Recon, started 2 record labels, and a digital distribution platform called LabelGrid for independent musicians. Over the years, Mike has shared the stage and helped curate parties featuring some of the most exciting producers of the modern era, including ICICLE, ASC, Ed Rush & Optical, Photek, Alix Perez, Sinistarr, and Total Science. Mike's record labels, Section 8 Recordings and Plush Recordings, feature an array of producers in multi-genre listings of dnb/jungle/dubstep since 2007. On these labels, you'll find a wide array of talent showing 2 opposite sides of the spectrum from: Sick Cycle, Earl Grey, Stunna, PFM, Utah Jazz, Truth, 360 joYnt, Quentin Hiatus, KOROstyle, iBenji, SPL, Culprate, Proton Kid.. and over 50 other artists.
These are the last three Midweek Master Series Artists.
