Neekeetone – Selector, Producer, and Finger Drummer

Neekeetone’s musical journey began at the age of 10, when he experimented with creating tracks on a Sony PlayStation before transitioning to Acid Pro. By 12, he had formed his own rap group, producing beats for the crew.

During high school, he became the guitarist and vocalist in a reggae band alongside African students. Later, he founded his own live band, blending reggae, jungle, and hip-hop, where he took on the role of frontman and MC. Over the years, he also played as a turntablist, guitarist, and percussionist in a renowned Russian reggae band, eventually becoming their drummer for nearly five years.

Throughout this time, Neekeetone continued to produce his own music and perform as a DJ, while also composing for film and commercials.

In 2018, he co-founded the bass music collective Champion Sound, releasing around ten vinyl records as part of the project.

Since 2022, he has fully focused on his solo career, incorporating the Akai MPC into his performances. His original tracks and remixes have been released on labels such as Time Tunnel, Hardcore Energy, VISION, Nice Up!, Codename, and more.

In 2023, due to his stance on the war, Neekeetone left Russia and is now based in Montenegro.
