The drum and bass community has always been about more than just music, it's about connection, resilience, and family. And never has that spirit been more powerfully felt than in the wake of the tragic and unexpected passing of beloved U.S. Jungle DJ and producer Jamie “Oneduz” Collomb.
Jamie, co-founder of The Global DNB Collective alongside Andy Syntax Era, dedicated his life to pushing the U.S. DNB and Jungle scene forward, uniting artists across continents and creating opportunities for collaboration, community, and creativity. As a Microsoft software security engineer by day and a tireless advocate for underground music by night, Jamie embodied passion, discipline, and love for the culture.
His dream was about more than music. It was about building bridges between artists in the U.S. and the UK. With nearly 50 artists connected to the label and a growing list of vinyl and digital releases, Jamie had been instrumental in putting the U.S. Jungle scene on the global map.
Tragically, just weeks beforethe labels biggest release—a 12" vinyl from
Eclipsed Shadows with remixes by legendary producers Blame (Moving Shadow) and Danny Styles (24 Karat). Jamie passed away at the age of 43, leaving behind his wife, Shanda, and two young children. Many of us had spoken to him just the night before.
In the face of heartbreak, Jamie’s close friends and label family refused to let his dream fade. Ryan “Drbblz,” a longtime friend and collaborator, stepped up to take the reins alongside Syntax Era. They battled through immense challenges. From recovering misplaced pallets of vinyl, to re-establishing social media pages after losing access to Jamie’s original accounts, all to honor his vision and legacy.
But the story doesn’t end there.
On April 24th, the long-awaited vinyl officially dropped. Released under the newly named GDNBC (Global DNB Collective) label and distributed with support from UK heavyweight Kniteforce, this release isn't just a record—it's a tribute. It's a love letter to Jamie, to Jungle music, and to the unity of a global scene that refuses to quit.
And it gets better: 100% of the proceeds from the release will go directly to Jamie’s wife and children. Every single cent. Because this isn’t about profit. It’s about taking care of our own.
The legendary Blame himself took to social media with a moving tribute and announcement video. His heartfelt post quickly garnered over 500 likes, 200 shares, and nearly 20,000 views!!This is proof that Jamie’s story, and this release, are touching hearts far and wide.
This isn’t just a record drop. It’s a community rising in the face of loss. It’s what happens when love, loyalty, and the power of music come together.
Now, it’s your turn to be a part of that story.
Buy the vinyl. Share the story. Support the family. Keep the legacy alive.
Jamie “Oneduz” Collomb was the hardest working man in DNB, and now it’s time to show him, and his family, just how much his work mattered.
