OCTANE’S MUST HAVE TRACKS: JUNE 2024

There were more killer tunes to sift through than there are days in June! Narrowing down a top five is always tough but this list is guaranteed to bring some heat to your playlists as the summertime temps and DNB vibes continue to climb and scorch the scene as we roll into July!

Nemean “Doomed” [Eatbrain]

Nemean delivered the goods to Eatbrain and pulled out all the stops on this one with an aggressive in your face industrialized funk! Take caution in your selection and listener beware because “you are fucking doomed” and Nemean doesn’t care. “Doomed” commands control in the mix and doesn’t loosen its grip, be prepared for a wild ride with grinding basslines and a rhythm that cuts like a whip!

Ryan Audley “Obvious” [Elephant Trunk]

Elephant Trunk has an “Obvious” selection for some summertime dancefloor vibes, Ryan Audley combines smooth vocals with a wicked jumpy bassline and bubbly melodies for a scorcher of a tune to heat up any room. “Obvious” is overflowing with energy to amp up the dance so grab this one as soon as you can!

 Korax “Hidden Technique” [Stonx Music]

It’s no secret that Korax’s “Hidden Technique” on Stonx Music delivers a serious amount of heat! Boasting a big, burly build that stomps into a massive drop Korax brings electrifying basslines surging through smooth rhythms with a potent neurofunk punch! Keep an eye on Korax he’s making some killer tunes and is on the move!

Forum “Puppets” [Blackout Music NL]

The DNB super group Forum dropped two incredible tunes on Blackout Music and “Puppets” went into the favorites bin with the quickness. This dangerously deep tune will have the whole room steppin’ to the groove as Forum lays it down thick with crafty broken beats and a big dose of bass that whomps and twists as it controls the mix.  “Puppets” from Forum can’t be missed!

Quoone ft. Houndeye “Better Day” [WOM Recordings]

We’re heading out on a high note this month with Quoone & Houndeye’s “Better Day” on WOM Recordings. These two are bringing a positive vibe to the dancefloor side of drum and bass with a soft serenade tumbling through the composition with style and class. Energy surging through the drop will get the room moving non-stop, perfect for festival season and beyond!
