For more than three decades, Glassy Eye has been a fixture in New Orleans’ underground music community. As a founding member of NOLADNB, a recognized Drum and Bass collective, he has helped shape the city’s electronic music scene through events, performances, and tireless support of local artists. From sharing stages with legends like LTJ Bukem and Spectrasoul to performing live hardware sets with New Orleans Synth Cult, his influence can be felt across the city’s dance music landscape.
Now, Glassy Eye is bringing that perspective to Be Kind Radio (https://bekindradio.com/).
Described as “a Glassy Eye view of New Orleans,” the show airs every other Thursday and showcases music from across the city’s diverse creative community.
“The people over at Be Kind Radio have given me the opportunity to bring all genres of New Orleans music to their listeners,” says Glassy Eye. “Join me as I embark on a two hour curation of selections that represent NOLA, from the stars that make our city shine to the pulse of the underground.”
Much like his work with NOLADNB, Be Kind Radio is rooted in community and discovery. Each episode highlights the artists, sounds, and stories that make New Orleans one of the world’s most vibrant musical cities, offering listeners a unique perspective from someone who has spent years helping shape its underground culture.
