A chat in Brussels with Drum n Beer Cellarman!

This trip has been hit-and-miss with meeting the locals and going to the shows, to be honest. We are either one week too late or early.

But then I met Simon aka Cellarman and he and his lovely wife are the ones behind Drum n Beer in Brussels. They are working their way to being the monthly to hit up in this cool city.

Simon and his wife were incredibly kind to us and invited us into their home to conduct this interview and get to know one another. Both are deep DnB lovers, two main things I noticed; she is a great mom and he is an absolute beer nerd. Solid people that we got to enjoy an afternoon with and make friends.

Drum n Beer is coming up on 4yrs. They work with multiple bars in and around the center area of Brussels. Their focus is to bring all the sub-genres to the local scene, not just the Belgian Jump-up, all from local DJs and producers. His parties have MCs and sometimes they do something like at the next show where he spins and one of the local turntablists does their thing. They work closely with other crews in the cities throughout Belgium.
