Thirty Aught Six Launches It’s Free, a Mix Series Championing Free Drum and Bass

In a scene often shaped by exclusivity and paywalls, DJ and producer Thirty Aught Six introduces It’s Free, a new mix series built entirely around free downloadable drum and bass releases. The goal is simple. Highlight high quality music being given away freely while giving DJs a usable real world selection of tracks for their sets.

“You as a DJ have 29 new free DnB tunes you can add to your arsenal for this weekend,” he explains. “This mix was a labor of love and took a while to put together and be completely happy with.”

The first installment delivers a fast moving hour of rollers, jump up, and vocal driven cuts designed as both a listening experience and a practical tool for DJs. Every track included is available for download which turns the mix into a direct gateway for discovery and support.

“Please support, follow, and download the tracks from these artists. They deserve to have their music played all over the world.”

He adds “And always remember, my friends, don’t steal music.”

The full track list is available on SoundCloud where listeners can access and download each featured tune. Episode 1 also highlights “Can’t Stop It” by Daymu & Fuze, one of his standout selections from the project.

Active in electronic music for over 15 years, Thirty Aught Six first came up through the Pacific Northwest rave scene before releasing early work in the hardcore and hard dance space on labels like Executive Records and Bassface Recordings. After stepping away for a period to focus on culinary work, livestreaming during the pandemic helped reignite his connection to music and rebuild momentum in the scene.

His current sound leans into high energy drum and bass gritty basslines jump up pressure and nonstop dancefloor energy.
With It’s Free Thirty Aught Six is positioning the mix series as a bridge between DJs, producers and listeners through accessible community driven curation.

In a genre built on exchange It’s Free delivers exactly what it promises.
