In this world, music is meant to be felt. Omen’s “Secrets” is definitely one of those tunes. This being the title track off his new EP on Mustard Music, it definitely leaves an imprint.
There’s a certain energy to the more delicate side of liquid Drum & Bass, and Omen’s “Secrets” wastes no time tapping into it. Its warm, soulful atmosphere meets the steady pulsation of rolling rhythms and basslines, creating a vibe that just doesn’t quit. There’s a bittersweet quality to the mood, something that feels comforting and melancholic all at once.
What makes “Secrets” appealing is its sense of subtlety, it settles into a groove and lets the emotion unfold naturally. It’s got soul, a little sadness, and plenty of character. This is kind of tune that stays with you long after it’s finished playing.
Pick up Omen’s “Secrets EP” on Mustard Music immediately. You won’t regret it.
